Logo Design Studio: SVG logo concepts with Claude Code

Give it a name and a feeling. The agent works like an identity designer: it picks mark types, draws three concepts as clean SVG, renders and audits them, tests them small and in one colour, then stops and shows you before building the full kit.

What you get

  • Three directions, not oneDifferent mark types side by side, each with a one-line idea and a recommendation.
  • Tested smallEvery mark rendered at 64, 32 and 16 px and audited for stray detail before you see it.
  • Clean SVGA colour, a one-colour and a lockup file per concept, a few hundred bytes each.

Prompt

Use the logo-design skill on the fast track, no questions: design three logo concepts for MuseKiln, a website of hand-tested AI agent skills (the name joins a muse and a kiln: ideas fired into finished things). Colours: ink #17171A, cobalt #2F4FD8, accent #E0643A. Build, render and test the concepts, then stop at the concept checkpoint (I cannot reply). Save each concept as an SVG in out/ and the concept overview image as out/concepts.png.

What went wrong

It stopped where it should: at the concept checkpoint, with three concepts, a recommendation and the full kit (favicons, lockups, guidelines) left for after you pick one. That is the skill's design, so a real project takes a second run.

Its own review flagged the weak spots, and we agree: concept A's orange tile can read as a full stop (“m.”), concept B's check mark turns to mush at 32 px and below, and the wordmark in every lockup is live Helvetica text, not drawn letters.

Questions

Is this an AI image generator?

No. The agent writes the logo as SVG code, then renders it to check its own work. The result is a small vector file you can edit, not a picture from an image model.

Will it ask me questions first?

In the full track it asks up to five. We used the fast track (no questions, assumptions stated), and it went straight to three concepts.

Can I use the logo as my trademark?

The skill is MIT licensed and the SVGs it makes are yours, but it cannot run a trademark search; its own report says a professional search is still needed before you register a mark.

What does the full kit add?

Once you pick a concept: refined geometry, a small-size version, black, white and reversed files, favicon and app icons with the HTML snippet, lockups with a drawn wordmark, and a usage guide.
