Schema markup validator

Paste a page's address. You get every field Google documents as required, the mistakes that quietly cost rich results — and the part no other validator tells you: which of your markup belongs to a feature Google has already switched off.

Works on any public page. Nothing is stored.

What it looks for

Required fields

Every property Google documents as required for the type — Product needs an image and an offer, Article needs a headline and a date, BreadcrumbList needs its items. A missing one means no rich result at all.

Retired features

FAQ rich results ended 7 May 2026. HowTo ended September 2023. The sitelinks search box ended November 2024. The markup is still valid and answer engines still read it — but if you added it for an appearance in Google, it is not coming.

The quiet mistakes

A price written as $9.99 instead of 9.99. A date that is not ISO 8601. A relative image URL. An availability value that is not one of schema.org's. Each one is valid-looking and each one drops the result.

What is simply missing

Breadcrumbs are still a live Google feature and the most common one to be absent entirely. If the page has none, you get one built from the page's own address, ready to paste.

What it will not pretend to know

Whether the markup matches what a visitor actually sees, and whether a rating comes from real reviews. Those are the two things Google cares most about and the two no script can judge. Every report ends by naming them rather than implying they were checked.

Questions

Is it free, and do I need an account?

Free, no account, nothing to install. Paste an address and read the report. There is a cap of 40 checks a visitor a day, because each check fetches somebody else's server.

How is this different from Google's Rich Results Test?

Google's test tells you which of its features it can see on the page. It does not tell you that a block you are looking at belongs to a feature Google switched off. This does: FAQ rich results ended on 7 May 2026, HowTo in September 2023, the sitelinks search box in November 2024. All three are still valid schema.org, still read by answer engines, and will never change your appearance in Google again.

Does it upload my page anywhere?

No. We read the address you give us, run the checks on our own server and show you the result. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent on.

What can it not check?

Two things, and it says so at the end of every report. Whether the markup matches what a visitor actually sees on the page, and whether a rating comes from real reviews. Google penalises markup that does not match the page, and no automated check can judge either one.

Can I run it on my whole site?

Not from this page — it takes one address at a time. The same checks are in a single Python file on the schema markup skill page: no dependencies, runs offline, exits non-zero on errors, so it drops into a build.

Want the markup written, not just checked?

The schema markup skill writes it for you inside Claude Code, and we ran it on a live product page so you can see what it produced, what it found and what it refused to invent. The same checks as this page are also a single Python file there, for running offline or in a build.
